As part of our commitment to supporting music and the arts, First United Methodist Garland offers the West Avenue B Community Concerts.
Curated by and featuring our own Artist-in-Residence Dr. Eldred Marshall, these concerts include acclaimed guest artists from around the area and around the world.
The West Avenue B Community Concerts are presented free of charge as a gift to our friends and neighbors in Garland and surrounding communities.
Four concerts are scheduled for the 2019-2020 season:
Schubert, Trout and Sorbet

Eldred Marshall and friends present an afternoon of chamber music by Schubert. Featuring Jennifer Cowan, soprano.
Including the Trout Quintet for piano, violin, viola, cello and double bass.
A Philip Glass Extravaganza

4:00pm | Garden Room
Dr. Paul Barnes, Professor of Piano, University of Nebraska performs his renowned "Stained Glass" concert.
Featuring the Texas premiere of the Philip Glass Piano Quintet "Annunciation."

A piano recital by Eldred Marshall featuring The Goldberg Variations, composed for harpsichord by Johann Sebastian Bach.
Mozart's Requiem
