Sunday worship

We offer a traditional, in-person worship experience* on Sundays with beautiful hymns and a timely message based on the wisdom of Holy Scripture.

11:00am Traditional Service**

A full worship celebration in the Methodist tradition, led by our Chancel Choir and Pure Joy! Youth Choir. Includes Holy Communion the first Sunday of each month.

For the safety of unvaccinated attendees, notably our children, worshippers are required to wear masks (extra masks available) and maintain social distancing between individuals and family units.

And while we respect each individual’s right to make their own healthcare decisions, we strongly encourage everyone who can to be fully vaccinated.

Nursery available for children age four and under. Reservations available

 * Livestream also available at youtube.com/firstgarland/live for the homebound, the geographically dispersed, the unvaccinated and those more comfortable worshiping from home.

** Archive of previous services available on First Live page.

Sunday School

Our doors are now open for in-person Sunday School - children and adults - at 9:30am every Sunday.

For those new to First United Methodist Garland and looking for a Sunday School class, please contact the office at (972) 272-3471 or office@fumcgarland.org for suggestions or one or more classes appropriate to your age, stage and faith journey.

Masks are not required for those who are fully vaccinated, but they are required in all common areas of the church for the safety or our children.
